How a New Construction Job Runs
Six phases, each one tied to your build schedule so we’re on site when you need us and out of the way when you don’t.
Plans & load calc
Send us the plans. We run the load calculation, propose equipment and duct layout, and give you a written quote with options.
Rough-in
After framing and before insulation: duct, line sets, drains, low-voltage, and pads. Coordinated with the other trades.
Equipment set
Outdoor units, furnaces or air handlers, and coils set and connected once the building is dried in.
Trim-out
Registers, grilles, thermostats, and final connections after paint and flooring.
Startup & inspection
Charge, airflow, and controls verified; mechanical inspection passed and documented.
Turnover
Walkthrough with the owner, thermostat setup, filter sizes, and warranty registration handled.

New Construction HVAC FAQs
When should I get the HVAC contractor involved in a new build?
Before framing is finished. Duct routing has to work with the trusses and ceiling plan, and the return air path needs to be planned — fixing that after drywall is expensive. Send us the plans as early as you can.
Do you do load calculations, or just size it by square footage?
We run room-by-room load calculations. Square-footage rules of thumb are how houses end up with oversized, short-cycling systems and rooms that never get comfortable.
Can you do the HVAC for a barndominium or metal shop?
Yes — it’s a big part of our work. Mini-splits, package units, and conventional split systems all have a place depending on the building, insulation, and how it’ll be used.
Do you work with general contractors on commercial projects?
Yes. We handle light commercial new construction — offices, churches, retail, schools, and shops — including rooftop units and ventilation, and we coordinate with your GC and inspector.
Who pulls the mechanical permit?
We do, and we meet the inspector. We’re licensed in both Oklahoma and Arkansas.
